Wheel Repair
Before working on any wheel we do a full analysis of the damage, imperfection or issues with the wheel such as dents, cracks, or bends. The repair may involve hammering out any dents or bends, welding any cracks, or replacing any damaged parts. Wheel repair can be done on both steel and alloy wheels. We go over in details to make sure we meet your expectations
2
Wheel Refinishing
Clean the wheel with wheel polish to remove dirt and debris and avoiding scratching the wheel’s surface during the polishing process Repair the scratches, pit or gouges. Sand the entire wheel with 200-grit sandpaper as this will help remove deep scratches or pits in the aluminum. This is done filling in the scratches, pits, or gouges with putty and then sanding it down until the wheel surface is restored.
3
Wheel Painting
Choose the right paint for steel, aluminum, or magnesium wheels. To prime the wheel for paint, we use three light coats of self-etching spray primer, allowing each coat to dry between applications. We make sure to apply the primer between all of the wheel spokes before apply the paint.
4
Wheel Straightening
Wheel Warriors have been straightening wheels for over 20 years. More than 90% of bent wheels can be repaired. Rim Straightening is used to fix wheels that have been bent or damaged due to impacts such as hitting a curb or pothole. The wheel is put on a machine that uses hydraulic pressure to push or pull the rim back into its original shape. This process requires special equipment and skilled technicians to ensure that the wheel is straightened without causing any further damage.
5
Powder Coating
Powder coating is a process where a dry powder is applied to the surface of the wheel and then heated to create a hard, durable finish. The powder is sprayed onto the wheel using an electrostatic charge, which helps the powder to stick evenly to the surface. The coated wheel is then baked in an oven to cure the powder and create a durable finish.
6
Tig Welding
TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding is a process used to join pieces of metal together using a high-heat arc. TIG welding is often used for wheel repair, as it allows for precise control over the heat and the weld, resulting in a strong, durable weld. TIG welding is commonly used for aluminum wheels, as it is effective in joining dissimilar metals.
